Tara Brady was born in Essex. Tara began his career in the Royal Navy which included three years serving on HMS Illustrious. He subsequently performed a variety of commercial roles at Lloyds of London and Guinness Brewing Worldwide before joining PWC as Head of Business development, EMEA for Business Process Outsourcing. Following this Tara became Director of Financial Services at LogicaCMG.
Tara joined Calyx from Getronics where he was General Manager of the UK and a member of the Group Board of Management, prior to which he was Executive Vice President for Business Development and Marketing worldwide.
Tara joined Calyx in June 2008.
Nick was born near Bristol. He graduated from the University of Exeter in 1991, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1994.
Earlier in his career, Nick held a number senior finance roles with Biocompatibles International plc (€140m turnover), including Group FD, Divisional FD and Head of Planning.
Immediately before joining Calyx, Nick was CFO of Singapore-based contact lens manufacturer Clearlab International, until the disposal of that business in October 2007. Previously, he was with flow-control group Truflo International (€230m turnover). Truflo was backed by Alchemy and Barclays Bank in a 2002 P2P, and sold via three trade sale transactions in early 2006.
Nick joined Calyx as Chief Financial Officer in March 2008 and has responsibility for all Group financial functions.
Ian Bennett was born in Yorkshire. He graduated from Manchester University in 1981 and gained an MBA in 1990. Ian held a number of marketing and sales management positions at Pitney Bowes plc before joining BellCablemedia where he was Sales and Marketing Director for business services. Ian was a member of the board and Group Marketing and Sales Director of Deutsche Telekom's Eurobell Holdings plc.
Prior to joining Calyx Ian was Group Marketing Director of Azzurri Communications.
Ian has experience in a number of M&A transactions and subsequent brand and operational integration.
Ian joined Calyx in January 2008 and has responsibility for market strategy, brand development and communications.
Andy Mills was born in Manchester. He graduated from Leeds University in 1984 with a BSC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Andy held a number of sales management positions at Bay Networks, acquired by Nortel Networks, before joining the US based start-up Bluecoat Systems where he was Country Manager. Andy went on to become VP for Europe for a Cisco funded start-up, subsequently acquired by Citrix.
Prior to joining Calyx as part of an acquisition, Andy was the UK sales director for Matrix Communications and oversaw the integration of many businesses into the group.
Andy was appointed MD of the UK business in 2006.
