Categories // Featured, Latest News, Events

Helping Not-for-Profit organisations manage data storage compliance and device-to-application network infrastructure, securely

Charities and Not-for-Profit organisations are invited to join key note speakers from Calyx Managed Services, Juniper Networks and SagePay at a Security-focused roundtable event at the famous Tower 42 building in London on Thursday, 21st March at 1.30pm.

Usage of mobile devices has infiltrated every aspect of our lives and is resulting in an increasingly mobile workforce, with employees and contractors using their personal mobile devices to access the corporate network, cloud, applications and data, and a global workforce that demands mobile, remote access to the corporate network, cloud, and resources from virtually anywhere in the world, at any time. With the surge in personal, mobile devices being used in the corporate environment – as well as corporate-issued mobile devices being used personally – the organization no longer has control over this device that is accessing their “crown jewels”, or what a user is downloading on it, or the security of the data that is being accessed and stored.

Calyx and Juniper host Secure Mobility webinar

Categories // Featured, Latest News, Events

Calyx in partnership with Juniper Networks helps you retain IT security whilst providing mobility and BYOD solutions

Charity and not-for-profit sector organisations are invited to join Calyx and Juniper Networks in a webinar discussing how the infiltration of mobile devices in every aspect of our lives is resulting in an increasingly mobile workforce, with employees and contractors using their personal mobile devices to access the corporate network, cloud, applications and data.

Companies are now challenged with demands to provide access to personal laptops, mulitiple device types and makes, or guest access to contractors and visitors.

Today’s mobile, global workforce also requires mobile, remote access to the corporate network, cloud, and resources from virtually anywhere in the world, at anytime.  With the surge in personal, mobile devices being used in the corporate environment – as well as corporate-issued mobile devices being used personally – the organization no longer has control over this device that is accessing their “crown jewels”. The organization has no control over a user downloading unknown, unapproved or even ill- or unsecured apps to their personal or corporate issued mobile device. Plus, users store all sorts of data on mobile devices, whether they are their own device or the company’s. Personal information such as usernames and passwords, banking information, personal health data and more, as well as sensitive corporate data, critical apps, even corporate IP can be stored on these mobile devices. So, what happens to that stored data if the device is infected, hacked, lost or stolen?”

This webinar on Secure Mobility will discuss how Juniper Networks in partnership with Calyx Managed Services address the challenges Mobility presents.

If you would like to attend any of our future webinars or would like to discuss any of the topics below, please call 0207 614 0302 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. today!

  • Delivery of integrated connectivity and security anytime/anywhere
  • Provide clear visibility of mobile users and enforcement of access to network resources based on identity, role and location
  • Minimized risk of loss of corporate data from compromised, lost, or stolen mobile devices
  • Reduced IT overhead due to simplified management

BYOD - Opening the floodgates or harnessing potential?

Categories // Featured, Latest News, Articles

How charities can minimise risk when employees and volunteers want to use their own mobile devices

Today, employees want to make their own decisions about which phone or computer they use both in their personal life and at work. This is becoming a huge problem for organisations of all sizes – even for large and relatively wealthy corporations. Charities are particularly vulnerable as they often cannot justify providing paid staff with the latest technology unless it is proven to bring significant benefits. Yet, in many ways the need for security is more acute for charities, dealing as they do with the financial and highly personal details of often vulnerable people as part of their operations.

Calyx looks at what considerations should be make to minimise the risks of the increasing consumerisation of IT.
