Traditional stateful firewalls protect organisation against unauthorised users accessing network resources and the unauthorised use of those network resources. Stateful inspection firewalls make traffic decisions based on session information, instead of packet-level information, which would also take into account the 'state' of the information.
Juniper has furthered the security provided at the perimeter with its range of Deep Pack Inspection Firewalls that look not only at the session level of traffic but that also look at the statefullness of the information. As hackers become more inventive, Juniper's solution for boundary security represents the next generation of protection against these advanced attacks.
